June, 2025 An absolutely wonderful event space. We held my daughter’s graduation party here, and it was perfect for her brunch theme. Thata was a joy to work with, helping me coordinate the decor from the balloon backdrop to the setup for each room. She has so many serving pieces, including the drink dispensers, cake risers, and platters, that we were able to just bring the food and drinks and use what she had to create the aesthetic we were going for. Thata was also super responsive and accommodating (I had a lot of decor and pictures, so she let me drop it all off the day before to lessen the load the morning of the party). I highly recommend booking your next event at The Yellow Door. I was looking for an indoor/outdoor space where I could basically just show up with the food/drinks and personal touches, and they would handle the rest. The Yellow Door and Thata delivered! May, 2025 I can’t put into words how beautiful this venue is. Every detail is thoughtfully designed, and the overall atmosphere is just breathtaking. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the incredible owner. She is beyond helpful, kind, and genuinely passionate about making your event perfect. I’ve never been so impressed! June, 2025 The yellow door has the best party space I could ask for. It has an amazing indoor area for food and photo shoots, along with the best outdoor space for whatever your party needs. I truly couldn't have asked for a better event space. Thata exceeded my expectations for my birthday celebration. The Barbie decor was stunning and my guests had so much fun together. The Yellow Door Event Space is without a doubt the best party design option in the Kansas City area. They planned our son's first and fifth birthday parties, as well as my husband's book signing. Without a question, they will continue to be our first option for any future parties. Their ability to turn our ideas into reality is simply amazing. The place was beautiful and the owner had changed out pictures on the wall that went with our wedding theme like Love, Bride to be, etc. She was there and helped with all the food setup and decorations. She had so many great options for all our food from displaying them, to the plater’s and stands and design to make it look right and was so super helpful! Would highly recommend.
